Welcome caper223 Ham radio is a great idea and taking a course and getting your license is the first step anyone should take. One thing you will learn in the course is that ham radio is not magical. There will be times it works well, and times it won't. If you're looking to pic up a ham radio and ha...

Re: Lockdowns and Curfews and Fines, OH MY!
Well, seems as though the 30 tickets was just from one police force...the actual number was somewhere in the hundreds province wide. Night 2 was apparently similar. I had heard a different version of the New Brunswick couple...that they had given themselves time, but were delayed. Who knows for sure...

I highly doubt any of the super powers have the guts to start a world war right now, or at any time in the near future. They all know what the end result would be. That being said, it would not surprise me if "something" were to come up at the last minute that stalls the transfer of power....

I'm using proper precautions. A real N95 mask stocked up years ago due to work, worn. Gloves worn alcohol rinsed prior to removal . Lots of wiping down. shopping at 8 am to minimize people . The usual stuff, as a ret. divorced bachelor vet, rarely interact with humans, face to face. Now we are seei...

Ex- military did my fair share of travel too. Lets see the fist to cuffs , assault on a shopper who recommend a mask to someone and a row ensued. Vax passport for in country use, me I'm not travelling anywhere . It's the thought that the government just rolls it out and deems it safe. Sorry for sou...

Picked up at auction: 3 down duvets (2 double 1 twin) 2 5lb fill sleeping bags (rating should be somewhere between 0 and -10) 3 double comforters (great for emergency guests or to place on refrigerators/freezers for power failures) countless sheets (good for covering the garden against frost) squirr...

Re: The Great Reset?
Here's a question for Clarence... since traffic congestion is already an issue in urban areas, would it be better in your view for governments to expropriate citizens' land to expand streets and major arteries? Perhaps making an effort to reduce the number of cars on those roads in the first place w...
