Re: Your take on the world and what we should be most concer

Ok, here I go again. I prep for the WORSE CASE SCENARIO. That doesn't include job loss, localized flooding, tornado's, or even stock market collapse. It does include food disruption, solar flares, EMP (natural or man made), zombie apocalypse (a catch all for any world wide, life threatening pandemi...

Re: What's Better Than A Free Lifestraw?

I'm a single mom, trying to put together BOBs for myself, my two daughters, and my mother, which is difficult on my one income (as are all forms of prepping), so I would use them both for BOBs. That would help cut down the costs on the BOBs and help get them ready that much faster! :-)

Re: Walking Dead - Season 5 - Who is psyched?

I only watched the first season of TWD. I did watch last night and enjoyed it. I do not watch T.V. series but I might start watching this when I can. I do have a question I don't think it will be a spoiler **** potential spoiler alert **** . The older lady in Terimus (sorry if that is wrong) . Is t...

Re: alternate backup winter heating

Thanks to this post, I now have a MUCH better idea of indoor emergency heating. Thanks all. If I had my choice, I'd have wood heat. One day, when I live in the country, I will. In the meantime, I plan on buying one of the Mr. Heater Buddy heaters, which is propane. I will take extra safety precautio...

Re: alternate backup winter heating

I am eyeing an indoor propane heater for those times. I'm in London and somehow that ice storm in December missed us, but I know how narrowly and I do not want to get caught without a source of heat. When something like that happens, I want to stay in my own home and be relatively comfortable. I'm c...

I'd be interested! I want to do the course here in London, but I just can't due to scheduling. Online would be fantastic!

Re: Ebola crisis

I'm preparing for a 2-3-month bug-in. Need some more food and water, and going to get goggles and a couple of hazmat suits. Otherwise, I have bleach, gloves, N95 masks, and a lot of other medical supplies. My mains thing other than the water and food are a portable toilet and an indoor propane heate...

Re: Why 'Z Nation' Fails as a post-apocoplytic TV show

I watch it. Of course, it's no Walking Dead and it's absolutely riding the coat tails of the Walking Dead's success, but I still like it. Can't wait until Sunday, though!!!

Re: Walking Dead - Season 5 - Who is psyched?

Oh yeah! Counting the days and everybody better leave me alone on Sunday night! Glad Monday's a holiday so I don't have to be concerned about the kids getting to bed at a decent time for school
